HURRICANE IAN UPDATE
Myakka River State Park sustained extensive wind and water damage from Hurricane Ian and will be closed to the public until further notice. A reopening date is yet to be determined. All reservations are being canceled through Dec. 18, 2022. with additional cancellations possible. The cabins were significantly flooded and will require extensive restoration work; therefore, all cabin reservations are canceled through 2023. The park will contact visitors with reservations for primitive camping, youth group camping and pavilion rentals. Individuals with cabin or regular campground reservations will be notified through the Florida Park Service reservations staff.
