Dear friends,
We have been using a moktak (traditional Korean Buddhist percussive instrument) to keep rhythm and focus during chanting. While in Asheville this past week, I purchased this old Japanese mokugyo, or wooden fish drum, a Zen Temple relic. It has a lovely sound. May it continue to serve Bodhi in its new home!

Bearing Witness
The Great Way is not difficult, Just don’t pick and choose.
If you cut off all likes or dislikes, everything is clear like space.Make the slightest distinction and heaven and earth are set apart.
If you wish to see the truth, don’t think for or against.
