Schedule Changes
Our practice session for Sunday, June 18, 2023 (Father’s Day) has been canceled.
At OZS, once a month we encourage a Sangha member to give the Dharma talk.
- The Dharma talk for Wednesday, June 21, 2023, will be given by Sangha member, Serena Olsen.
- In July, a Dharma talk will be given by Nick Dow. The date TBD.
(The Dharma talks may be podcast, if the presenter agrees to it.)
This year, I plan to take time off during the month of August for a personal retreat. Each week, I may suggest a reading or post a podcast, but we will not be meeting at the Zendo. You can always reach me by text or email. We will reconvene in September.
Looking Ahead to the Fall
Our fall retreat at Myakka State Park is in the planning stages. We are looking at mid-November and a possible 2-day retreat with overnight camping for those that want to embrace the experience.
Our practice continues, it doesn’t begin or end, that is just our thinking. Zen isn’t just sitting meditation, it is the eightfold path and awakening to our original nature.
