Topic: ‘Zen — the mind of emptiness and abundance‘. Afterward, Sunim will answer your questions.
- Saturday, September 14, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm – Silent retreat
Some instructions on meditation, then chanting begins the silent Retreat, with sessions of sitting meditation, walking meditation, and optional Kong-an interviews. (Bring a brown bag lunch, tea, and drinks will be served.) We will end the day with a Dharma talk.

Chanting, sessions of sitting and walking meditation ending with a circle talk.

There will be an opportunity for a variety of practices, geared for the benefit of all participants. Beginners and old-timers alike are gratified by Sunim’s humor, down-to-earth approach, avoidance of intellectualism's, and of esoteric wordiness. His practice instruction is realistic and practical, yet somehow leaves you beautifully informed as to the meaning of your actions/posture and breathing.

A Dharma talk, followed by a question and answer session, several sitting and walking meditation sessions, chanting, and kong-an interviews (optional) are on offer. No set fee is required to attend this retreat, however donations are encouraged.
