an Ordinary Zen Sangha Retreat

Retreats offer a rare occasion to deepen one’s zen practice and commitment to the path. This silent retreat is open to anyone, however some previous experience with zen meditation is helpful. There is no fee, however donations are accepted ($10.00 suggested amount). A potluck* lunch will be served.

10:30am — Orientation to the retreat,
11:00am — Heart Sutra Chant, Sitting, Walking, Sitting
12:00pm — Potluck* Lunch followed by mindful work practice and personal time
1:15pm — Preparation bell
1:30pm — Sitting, Walking, Sitting, 4 Bodhisattva Vows chant
2:30pm — Personal time
3:00pm — Tea and Dharma Talk – insight and compassion
3:30pm — Open discussion and questions concerning practice
4:00pm — Conclusion
